Our Team

  • Jean M. Sobarzo • Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board

    Jean developed the core concept of Biowear with his co-founder, Dr. Robert Frank in Paris. He comes from three generations of cardiologists in his family. Cardiology runs through his veins. Jean has brought together an exceptional multi-disciplinary team to make possible the development of Biowear technology. He has a unique background and trajectory in science, technology and business, from the University of Paris and MIT.

  • Dr. David Martin • Board Member and Chief Cardiology Advisor

    Dr. Martin is Vice-Chair at Mass General Brigham Hospitals and a senior lecturer at Harvard Medical School. He has extensive expertise in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and internal medicine and is a distinguished clinician and academic. Dr. Martin helps designing and implementing the medical strategy for Biowear as well as overseeing device testing and medical validation.

  • W. Scott Hoge, PhD • Board Member and Chief Technology Officer

    Scott has over 17 years of experience at Mass General Brigham and Harvard Medical School, as senior researcher and instructor. He has over 28 years of experience in digital signal processing and software design. Since he joined Lexington Biomedical, 3 years ago, his contributions have been remarkable.

  • Dr. Robert Frank • Co-Founder, Board Member, and Chief Cardiology Officer

    Dr. Frank developed the core concept of Biowear in collaboration with Jean Sobarzo. He is the former director of the Department of Cardiology at the Hôpitaux de Paris, where he was the cardiologist for officials at highest levels of the French government, including President Jacques Chirac. In 1977, he pioneered the discovery and development of cardiac ablation to treat arrhythmias. Developed in the 80s with colleagues from University of California in San Francisco, cardiac ablation is used today worldwide for the treatment of abnormal heart rhythms.

  • Philippe Sauvage • Board Member and Chief Strategy Advisor

    Philippe has over 12 years of experience at Sanofi as CFO and Global Head of Operations and Access. He specializes in business strategy, market access, and growth plans, bringing expertise in pricing, forecasting, and analytics to Lexington Biomedical. With his extensive experience and knowledge of the global medical industry, Philippe oversees the design of all business and financial models. His contributions have already placed Biowear in an advantageous position for successful scaling and deployment in US and global markets.

  • Kasia Bytnerowicz • Chief Marketing Officer

    Award-winning creative professional with 15+ years experience in interactive design, UI, UX, and branding. Weaving together art, technology, and business acumen to bring creative solutions to diverse projects. Building agile, resilient, and high-performing design teams that embrace the culture of continuous improvement. Kasia infuses Biowear – Lexington Biomedical with her exceptional knowledge and experience.

  • Bettina Pasquantonio • Textile Design Expert, US NAVY

    Bettina oversees the design and production of all the textile prototypes. She works with our engineers to integrate the electronics into the textile garments. Bettina has extensive experience designing military clothing. She is currently working with the US Navy.

  • Don Derek Haddad, PhD • Lead Engineer, MIT – NASA

    Currently leading the MIT – NASA Moon exploration, Derek recently joined Biowear to lead the Research and Development in Smart Textiles and Real-Time Transmission.

    Derek has an impressive trajectory from Smart Textiles to Space Exploration.
